Guyon Chung was received a B.F.A and a M.F.A in Applied Arts from Seoul National University and was graduated from Ecole Nationale Superieure des Arts Decoratifs Paris 1975, UnitPedagogique d'Architecture No.6 (Architecte D.P.L.G) in 1982.


After graduation of Universite de Paris ¥·, Institut d'Urbanisme, he worked as a architect in Paris.


In Seoul, founded Guyon Architects Associates in 1986 and taught as a lecturer in different univ, HanYang Univ., MyoungJi Unv., SoongSil Univ., SungKyunKwan Unv., Seoul National Unv. Now, he is a directive member of Seoul School of Architecture (SA) and an invited professor of The Korean national University of Arts.


The latest major works include KayWon school of Art & Design, Renovation of Drama Center, DongMyoung middle-high school, Youngwol Guinhun(housing) series of MuJu Public Projects, Coreana Art Center(space C), Children's library, Soon-chun and Chin-hae etc.


In addition to vigorous working, he has an affection about the role in the society as an architect. He was a Chairman in Architecture Dept. The Korean People's Artists Federation and Expert Advisor in Special Committee for commemorating 600's Anniversary of  Seoul and now co-president of Citizens' Network for Cultural Reform(CNCR).


He was a curator project4 In 2002 Gwang Ju Biennale. Also in 2002, he participated on FLASH Linz, as a representative of Korea.

During 2003, he worked as a Master Architect of Wang Sib Ri new town project, in Seoul. 


In 1982, he took a prize Fontenay-sous-bois USINE : Winners Prize ANACT, Ministlre de Travail, France. 

He received several honors including Architectural & Cultural Contribution Prize, Jinju City (1997), Kyobo Environmental and Cultural Award(Architecture,2000) Special Prize, Korea institute for Architcects Award (2000).
