The catalogue of this exhibition includes Hyungkoo Lee's works from his two major series: The Objectuals and Animatus. The visual presentation is supplemented by the writings of three authors. Soyeon Ahn, the commissioner of the exhibition, outlines the artist's body of work in terms of ailienated cultural self-image of Koreans and the post-human notions of body transformation. The French writer Jo?l Egloff's short fiction poetically captures the sense of estrangement, the uncanny moments of experiencing the unfamiliarity of one's own body. The essay by Jae Chun Choe, the internationally renowned biologist, situates Hyungkoo Lee's Animatus series in the context of scientific inquiries into the nature of evolution.
